Carolyn Harper

Carolyn has been a friend of PeaceTrees Vietnam since the early 2000s. She was introduced to the organization by its founders, Jerilyn Brusseau and Rae Cheney, and became a committed supporter, drawn in by its compelling origin story and mission. Her church raised the money for a kindergarten built by PeaceTrees in 2013 and she had an opportunity to visit on a 2016 Citizen Diplomacy Trip. Carolyn joined the board in 2018 and became treasurer in 2019. She continues to be awed by the organization’s leadership in demining and its many community-led development projects which she has been able to visit on subsequent Citizen Diplomacy Trips.

In 2020, Carolyn retired from Willis Towers Watson, where she worked as a management consultant for over 30 years. She has served on the board of several not-for-profit organizations. Her undergraduate degree is from the University of Washington and she has an MBA from Columbia Business School.
