Lisa Kartiganer
Lisa’s first Citizen Diplomacy Trip to Vietnam with PeaceTrees was in 2015. She fell in love with the country and people and was inspired to volunteer after seeing their work firsthand. In 2018, she went on a second trip and shared an extraordinary meal made by Vietnamese women who were part of the Healthy Garden Program. Their land had been cleared of UXOs so they could grow food. Upon her return, she joined the board and chairs the Fundraising Committee.
A Seattle native who has also lived in New York, London, Poland, and Yugoslavia, Lisa is a Licensed Social Worker who received her MSW from Columbia University. For the majority of her 26-year career, she has focused on healthcare for underserved populations in community health clinics, hospitals, and in private practice. Lisa is currently an MSW Licensure Supervisor. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and boxing.
