Participate in Citizen Diplomacy
Citizen Diplomacy and building people-to-people ties is at the heart of PeaceTrees’ work. Profound personal loss, experienced by families on all sides of the war, inspired PeaceTrees’ founders to reach out to the Vietnamese people in the spirit of healing, trust, and understanding between Vietnamese and American citizens.
Today, Citizen Diplomacy opportunities at PeaceTrees ranges from traveling to Vietnam to engage in our war legacy work, in-person events in the U.S., virtual gatherings, and more! All of our Citizen Diplomacy offerings provide spaces for individuals who have been impacted directly and indirectly by the U.S.-Vietnam War to gain mutual understanding, learn together, as well as to support healing and reconciliation. We welcome those who have a connection to Vietnam, an interest in the Vietnam War, or those who are curious about our mission to engage in our Citizen Diplomacy opportunities.
Please see below for more information regarding our upcoming Citizen Diplomacy Trips to Vietnam, local events, virtual meet-ups, and other avenues to participate.
