About the Computer Lab at Hai Lai Secondary School
Located in Gio Linh District, Hai Thai is a mountainous commune where eighty percent of the population are farmers and public infrastructure is very underdeveloped.
Hai Thai Secondary School was established in 1975 and educates about 400 students a year, with a 30:1 student to teacher ratio. The computer lab built by PeaceTrees Vietnam allows Hai Thai Secondary School to qualify to reach national standards in education. It also allows students to obtain basic skills and an understanding of information technology, the internet, and English. The computer lab additionally enables teachers to receive training in information technology and foreign languages.
